The phone is sold with a rechargeable polymer lithium ion battery located on the back of
the phone. Recommend that users purchase an extra battery as a backup. The battery snaps
into place. To remove, turn the power off, push on the latch and lift out.
Note: Use only QUALCOMM batteries in a QUALCOMM Globalstar phone.
The battery charge level indicator displays in the top right corner of the screen. Four
diagonal bars indicate full charge and one bar indicates minimal charge. The phone
alerts the user when the battery needs charging by flashing the indicator. In addition
it beeps three times (continuing to beep every minute if phone is in use), and
displays a low battery message on the screen.
A user should charge the battery immediately after purchasing the phone. The battery does
not need to be completely drained before recharging.
Care and Maintenance
Do not use the battery in temperatures less than -4°F (-20°C) or greater than +140°F
(+60°C)
Keep the metal contacts clean
Do not dispose of the battery in a fire
Do not disassemble the battery or short circuit it
Do not store batteries where temperatures are below -22°F (-30°C) or above +140°F
(+60°C)
