Key Guard:
This feature locks the phone keypad to prevent accidental use of the phone. One way to
apply this feature is to choose it from the Features menu. The shortcut is to press and hold
the (end) key while in standby mode.
When the keypad is locked this message displays across the bottom of the screen:
KeyGuard On
To turn the key guard off press the numbers 1, 2, 3.
Scratchpad:
The scratchpad is useful for storing up to 32 numbers. You might use this to enter a phone
number you are being given during a call, or to enter a banking account number in
preparation for accessing an automated banking information system. There are three
options for use of the number in the scratchpad:
• AddToHist - Add the entered number at the top of your call history list. This will
display the indicator “Added.”
• Save - Save the entered number in your phone book. You will be prompted to enter
the name and location.
• Send Tones - Send DTMF tones over the air. This option is only available during a
call.
